The Amber Rose Restaurant
Dayton, Ohio
IKOPS went to investigate the Amber Rose on June 28th.
The stories of this place include jukeboxes coming on and off on their
own, sounds of a child's giggle, apparitions of a young girl and voices.
We met with the current owner, and a delightful lady who was the
previous owner and founder of the business. She tells of many personal
experiences, as well as staff experiences. The owner, a self professed
skeptic, knows he has been pranked by a spirit and has heard and seen
things he cannot explain.
During our 4 hours onsite, different members had the
following personal experiences:
upon entry into the men's bathroom, a "hello" was
audible to the ear
some rooms felt "thick"
one of our members felt touched on the forearm
The images from IR cameras would be seen shaking on the monitor without
anyone around
We were also accompanied by a Medium and by several up
and coming Mediums. All stated (separately) that they had felt the
presence of a child. They also indicated the spirit of an older male
spirit in the basement area.
No auditory evidence was captured (no EVP's)
Below is a photo that is actually a capture from a night vision
stationary camera. On the video, there were no streaking orbs (flying
dust, or bugs) but a VERY bright, VERY white oblong diagonal shape
appears on screen for about a second and is gone instantly. It didn't
come in from a side or anything. It appeared, disappeared. Here is the
screen cap of that photo. Now if this were a regular orb, it would be
round, and see through as most are. This one is not. Proof of a spirit?
Of course not. Proof of something odd? Maybe. Obviously explainable?
Nope. You Decide.
Below is a shot from a camera, in total darkness, with
the flash enabled. See the shadow at the top of the stairs??
Upon seeing this picture, of course we were excited to
have photographed an apparition. Upon further review and contact with
the business owner, it was found that this image is a grease stain on
the wall visible with the naked eye in bright light. Our investigator
was not able to see it, because we were in a low light investigation.
However, we offer this photo as proof that we are not out to fool
anyone. We look at our evidence subjectively and if we see something
potentially paranormal, we debunk it before posting it for review. The
screen capture picture has yet to be debunked.
IKOPS will be returning to the Amber Rose for further
investigation
